Hi @Jonathan self-hosted enterprise customers receive a license key for authentification. You can find out more about the feature of self-hosted FOSS and self-hosted enterprise here: https://langfuse.com/docs/deployment/feature-overview Also feel free to ping us at enterprise@langfuse.com to for more infos about Langfuse Enterprise. Currently there are no plans, to offer the playground feature in the self-host FOSS version in v3.

OK, is this split between FOSS and enterprise self-hosted features a relatively new thing? back a few months ago when I was evaluating which solution to use for some of our internal llmops use cases I saw this post and hence my "understanding the playground feature would be GA in self-hosted in v3". one of the reasons I went down the langfuse route was an understanding the playground was coming soon I get that roadmaps/gtm strategies change and stuff but doesn't seem very transparent

Thanks for taking the time to share this @Jonathan. We offer a commercial version of Langfuse for self-hosting for some time with the goal of monetizing auxiliary features (add ons like playground and security/permissions features only relevant for larger teams) in Langfuse while keeping all of the core features fully FOSS without volume or scalability limits as we want Langfuse to be OSS as much as possible. Our view on this hasn’t changed and I agree that „for self-hosting“ isn’t clear enough when not knowing about the commercial offering of Langfuse. I am sorry about the confusion, this was by no means meant to be unclear. If it helps, happy to chat about this and find a solution that works for you https://cal.com/marc-kl/10
